She was 79. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ralph B. Atkinson; a daughter, Joan A. Wolfe and her husband, William E. ``Bill'' Wolfe; a sister, Olivia T. McClaskey of Cape Coral, Fla.; a brother, Joseph L. Taylor of Cedarburg, Wis.; beloved grandsons, Stuart C. Crawford III and James R. Crawford; step grandchildren, N.B. Forrest Wolfe and his wife, Lisha, and great-granddaughter, Peyton; Wendy W. Smith and her husband, William J. Smith III and great-grandchildren, Michael, Whitley and Jackson, all of Franklin; D. Justin W. Wolfe of Fort Worth, Texas; an aunt, Lettie Q. Gregory and cousins, Willis and Mary Gregory of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her father, John Sullivan Taylor, and mother, Grace Q. Winn; two brothers, John S. Taylor Jr. and William T. Taylor; and a loving brother-in-law, Arrie J. McClaskey. Mrs. Atkinson was an Episcopalian, a 1939 graduate of Cradock High School, Girl Scout Leader, and past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 128. An avid golfer for the last 40 years, she was a founding member of the Cypress Grove Country Club Ladies Golf Association. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. James W. Browder III. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home.
