MARGARET ANN NEWTON AYERS

Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - May 21, 2002 

Margaret Ann Newton Ayers, 60, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at her residence. 

Born in Waco, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lanier and Marguerite McCullough Newton. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Mrs. Ayers was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Courtland, a member of the DAR, and an eligibility worker for Southampton County Department of Social Services. 

Survivors include a daughter, Lee Catherine Ayers Falcone and her husband Ron of Chesapeake; and a son, Thomas Clark Ayers and his wife Cinda of Savannah, Ga. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Tyson Ayers. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. James W. Browder III officiating. Memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 12 Kent Way, Suite 101, Byfield, MA 01922, Sfinfo(AT)scleroderma.org, (978) 463-5843, or to the donor's local SPCA.
