Obituary of AGNES LOUISE BABB

SEDLEY -- Agnes Louise Babb, 90, died March 21, 2003. Born in Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late John Enoch and Lelia Raiford Babb and was a birthright member of Corinth Friends Meeting. Miss Babb was a graduate of Courtland High School and attended Westtown Boarding School.


Survivors include her brother, Caswell Jay Babb of Sedley; and numerous cousins, among them are, Nancy Bailey Cogsdale and her husband Thomas of Sedley, Elizabeth Bailey Gambill and her husband Emerson of Harrisonburg, Va., Mary Rae Shelton and her husband Ronnie of Waynesboro and Barbara Matthews of Springfield, Va. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Babb and a sister, Anna Babb.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Rosemont Cemetery with Hershel Hill and Ken and Pat Thames officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the residence at 32022 Unity Road, Sedley. Memorials may be made to Corinth Friends Meeting, 13494 Corinth Road, Ivor, VA 23866. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
