SUFFOLK - Patricia Babb Gay, 61, of the 3100 block of Deer Path Road, died Oct. 31, 2002, at his residence. 
A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Babb and Elizabeth Staylor Babb. She was an electric eye operator at Birdsong Peanut Co. and a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Suffolk. 
Predeceased by a brother, John Babb and granddaughter, Mary Nicole Schnur, she is survived by her husband, Donald Lee Gay; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Peace Bush and James Bush of Buxton, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, John Leslie Peace and Alice Peace of Suffolk; grandchildren, David Schnur Jr. and Dallas Marie Reid; a sister, Linda B. Hedgepeth of Edenton, N.C.; and a brother, William Babb of Lewisville, Texas. 
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk. Pat Holden, chaplain, Heartland Hospice, will officiate. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Friends may join the family Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at 3109 Deer Path Road, Suffolk. 
Memorials may be made to Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, 98 Kilby Shore Drive, Suite 100, Suffolk, VA 23434.
