Joe Calvin Bailey, 63, died April 2, 1992, in a Hampton hospital. 

Mr. Bailey was born in Southampton County and was a member of Ivor Baptist church. He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. 

Survivors include two daughters, Connie B. Carr of Zuni and Jo Ann B. Scott of Virginia Beach; a son, Karlus D. Bailey of Carrsville; two brothers, Jack A. Bailey of Virginia Beach and Julian Bailey of Petersburg; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ivor Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Burkhart. Friends may join the family at 17269 Black Creek Road, Zuni. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements. 

Memorial donations may be made to Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad.
