Frank Worth ''Jimmy'' Baines, 85, died April 14, 1997. 
A native of Nansemond County, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Mary Emma Butler Baines. Mr. Baines was a retired meat cutter with the A & P and was of the Methodist denomination. 
Survivors include his wife, Ollie Mae Norwood Baines; his daughters, Nathalia B. Shifflett of Dyke, Ellen B. Chappell of Suffolk, Kaye N. Webster of Newport News, Deborah L. Rapoport of Minnetonka, Minn.; his sons, Frank W. Baines Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., James O. Baines of Hockenheim, Germany; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel J. Campbell. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at 117 Clay St.
