   Sedley - Eleanor Rose Drake Barnes, 71, a current resident of Diamond Bar, Calif., died Aug. 16 in Los Angeles, Calif.
   Born in Franklin and a former resident of Sedley, she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Lona Turner Drake. Mrs. Barnes was a retired nurse and a Baptist.
   Survivors include her best friend and husband of 49 years, Blair C. Barnes; two sons, Jeffery B. Barnes and wife Pam of Glendora, Calif., and A. Scott Barnes of Studio City, Calif.; two sisters, Sara Frances Forrest of Chesapeake and Dorothy Lee Godwin of Smithfield; two brothers, Franklin Welsh Drake of Columbus, Ohio, and Roy Carl Drake of Sedley; several nieces and nephews.
   Mrs. Barnes was predeceased by a sister, Barbara C. Drake; and a brother, Billy Lorenzo Drake.
   A funeral was to be conducted at 2 p.m., Aug. 23, in Grace Memorial United Methodist Church, Sedley, with the Rev. Elizabeth von Trapp Walker and Roy C. Drake officiating. Burial was to follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family received friends Aug. 22 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
