(11-19-94) He was born in Ponce Puerto Rico of missionary parents. He came to Chapel Hill in 1934 to attend the University of North Carolina and graduated with the class of 1938. He is founder and operator of Storybook Farm, a day camp for 20 years and a kindergarten for 25 years. He founded Storybook Far, Metal Shop in 1980. A visitation and memorial expression will be held at his home at Storybook Farm from 2-4 p.m. Sunday (11-27-94). A private burial of the urn will be in Virginia at the family's discretion. Surviving is his wife, Mary M. Barrett; daughters, Ethel Williams Barrett of Wilmington, Louis B. Derr and Susan B. Taylor, both of Shapel Hill and Sally B. Hearne of Pittsboro; son, George W.
