Evelyn Lloyd Beale of 1401 N. High St., Franklin, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Mrs. Beale was a native of Suffolk. She was the daughter of the late Maggie Riddick and Merrill Frank Lloyd and was the widow of James Irving Beale Jr. She was an active member of Congregational Christian Church and was a charter member of the Franklin Garden Club. 

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy B. Keller of Tulsa, Okla., and Anne B. Parmelee of Greenwich, Conn.; two sons, J. Irving Beale III of Franklin and Frank L. Beale of Sandston; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 

A graveside funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church, 412 N. High St., Franklin, Va. 23851. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Friends may join the family at the home of Irving Beale, 31052 Country Club Road in Franklin.
