| Virginia Beale Foster, 78, went to be with her heavenly Father July 2, 2005. |
| Virginia, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Milton Beale and |
| Mamie Williams Beale. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Monroe |
| Foster and her sister, Kathleen Norton. She was a loving mother to her four |
| children, Carol F. Darden of Portsmouth, Brenda F. Brinkley of Suffolk, James M. |
| Foster Jr. and Milton B. Foster, both of Portsmouth; a wonderful Nanny to her five |
| grandchildren, Darin, Dana, Scott, Tim and Adam; two great-grandchildren, Kodi and |
| Cadee; and a niece, Connie Arndt. A funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at |
| Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, by Chaplain Chuck Leavitt. |
| Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial |
| donations may be made to a charity of choice. A special thanks to the nurses and |
| staff of the Nansemond Unit of Maryview Nursing Care Center for their kindness. |
| After the burial, family and friends are invited to her daughter, Brenda's home. |
