BEAMAN RETIRED RESTAURATEUR The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - January 27, 1991 Joseph Hunter Beaman, 72, of the 2400 block of Grandy Ave., a retired restaurateur, died Jan. 25, 1991, in a Hampton hospital. Mr. Beaman, a native of Spring Hope, N.C., was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church, Naomi Masonic Lodge 87 and Norfolk Moose Lodge 39. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer B. Knight of Houston, Texas; two sons, J. Hunter Beaman of Madison, Wis., and Roger G. Beaman of Grand Prairie, Texas; five sisters, Elizabeth B. Saunders and Ellen B. Beamon, both of Norfolk, Sarah Lee White of Ennis, Texas, Jessie B. Fischer of Chesapeake and Anne B. Reams of Saskatchewan, Canada; four brothers, John B. Beaman Jr. of Ahoskie, N.C., Thomas G. Beaman of Salem and Robert D. Beaman and Winfield S. Beaman, both of Norfolk; and four grandchildren. The funeral with Masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Cox Funeral Home by the Rev. Eugene R. Jones. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.
