SUFFOLK Vicki Marie Bergenstock Dyson died suddenly Wednesday morning, April 23, 2003 at her Suffolk home. She was born Aug. 13, 1950 in Allentown, Pa. and was the daughter of Robert Bergenstock of Mohnton, Pa. and the late Joyce Christman Roth formerly of Allentown. She was a U.S. Navy veteran and was currently employed at U.S. Joint Forces Command. She enjoyed being a member of the Suffolk Quilt Guild.
Vicki was an avid bird lover and spent years breeding and raising them. She was a talented quilter with many projects in the works. Her wonderful sense of honor made her a joy to be around. A loving mother even across the miles, she will be deeply missed by her children, as well as family and friends.
She is survived by her soul mate, Carl Mausolf of Suffolk, her children, Michelle Griffin of Hamlin, Pa, William A Metschulat Jr. of Moscow, Pa. and Meredith Jennie Fuller of Old Lorge, Pa.; a sister, Lori Murdock of Chesapeake; a brother, Jon Bergenstock of Reading, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Taffany Schneider, Nicholas Griffin, Rachael Schneider, Kara Middlekauff, Billie Jean Durkin, James Durkin, Travis Durkin and Zoey Metschulat; nieces, Debra Rhew and Trisha Moody; a great-nephew, Matthew Venis; and a great-niece, Riah Rhew.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Chesapeake, by Dr. James R. Driscoll. Interment will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The viewing will began Sunday with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
