††Born June 30, 1924, in Chowan County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Martha C. Byrum Blanchard. Mrs. Prescott was the secretary for B.D. Laderberg & Son, Incl, for many years.
††Survivors include her daughters, Martha C. January of Parker, Colo.; sons, Lional H. Prescott, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Frank M. Prescott of Suffolk; sister, Mrs. James T. Baggett of Suffolk; and granddaughter, Michelle Prescott.
††A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Malcolm Yaple. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 5349 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, Va.23502.
