Born Sept. 15, 1911, in Ash County, N.C., he was the son of the late Cox and Zada Blevins. Mr. Blevins was a member of First Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II. At the time of his death, he was the manager of Planters Peanut Center, ``The Peanut Store.'' Survivors include his wife, Nannie Taylor Blevins; his daughters, Cynthia Blevins Taylor of Hampton, Faye Blevins Beale, her husband, Bobby, of Suffolk; and grandchildren, Kristin Beale and Ryan Beale. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Windsor Cemetery by Dr. David H. Chauncey. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home.
