Allie Mae Blythe, 76, died June 7, 2000, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late Hunter and Allie Griffin Blythe. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Friends. 

Survivors include two sisters, Katherine B. Parker and her husband, Tim, of Gates, N.C., Irene B. Bulls and her husband, James, of Sedley; a brother, Franklin ``Ike'' Blythe and his wife, Jackie, of Franklin; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Melvin, Kelly, D.C., Clint, and Ed, and two sisters, Ruby B. Nelms and Nancy C. Blythe. 

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Franklin Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 179, Franklin, VA 23851.
