SUFFOLK - Lottie Mae Bowden Vick, 89, went to be with the Lord June 16,
2005, with her loving family by her side.
A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Robert Bowden, Jr.
and Pearl Virginia Bowden. She was predeceased by her husband of 30
years, Wallace Lee Vick; her sisters, Frances Ruth, Virginia and
Lucille; and brothers, Buck and Ashby. Lottie attended First Baptist
Church of Suffolk where she was a member of the Golden Aage Sunday
school class and Annette Hall Circle.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Jean Carr of Suffolk; grandson,
Mark W. Carr and his fianc'ee Shawn of Walters; granddaughter, Vicki Lynn
Carr of Richmond; great-grandsons, Trevis, Richie and Richard, all of
Walters; nieces, Marsha Faye, Sandra Kay and Nell Jackson; nephew, Jack
Jr.; special caregivers, Ann Williams, Glenda Bridges and Mary
Hunnicutt; hospice nurse, Nancy Polak; and numerous close friends.
A funeral will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co.
Funeral Home and Crematory by the Rev. Charles W. Thompson. The family
will receive friends in the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
and other times at 28001 Walters Highway. Memorial donations may be made
to Heartland Hospice, 150 Burnett's Way, Suffolk, VA 23434 or to one's
favorite charity.
