Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Mollie Delbridge Harrell. She was a supervisor with Hancock Peanut Company and was very active in the Franklin Bowling Leagues. Mrs. Bowles was a member of Burdette Baptist Church and attended Pine Grove Assembly of God in Windsor. Survivors include her husband, Carroll F. Bowles; two daughters, Sylvia B. Stephenson and her husband Russell and Debbie B. Rapp and her husband Val, all of Zuni; three sisters, Louise Jones of Colossee, Faye Green of Courtland and Linda Scott of Carrsville; two brothers, Jack Harrell and Buddy Harrell, both of Carrsville; and five grandchildren, Valarie, Tiffany, Kendal, Craig and Rebecca. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Harrell. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Alton Hinson officiating. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
