FRANKLIN - Daphine Winstead Bradshaw, 83, died Aug. 1, 2002, in South Carolina.
Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of Norman Clyde Winstead and Elizabeth Robards Winstead and the widow of Robert Odom Bradshaw, a farmer in Southampton County, Va.
She was a member of the Hunterdale United Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class. She was an accomplished seamstress, known for her beautiful handwork such as crocheted doilies and afghans.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Bradshaw Lowe and husband Sedric of Sedley; her son, Robert Wayne Bradshaw and wife Paulette of Moulton, Ala., David Bradshaw and wife Eranda of Clemson, S.C.; her daughter, Betty Galloway of Virginia Beach and husband Tom; and a son, Gary Bradshaw of Chesapeake and wife Vanessa. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Daphine was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Gail Bradshaw.
She is also survived by a sister, Ruby W. Murphy of Hunterdale and a sister-in-law, Margaret B. Edwards of Courtland.
A service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Hunterdale Church of Christ, Franklin, with the Rev. Wayne Blythe officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the social hall of the church.
