MARGARET BRIDGERS TUCKER

Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - May 11, 1999 

Margaret Bridgers Tucker, 71, died May 9, 1999, in the East Pavilion, where she had been a resident for the past seven years. 

Born Aug. 23, 1927, in Northampton County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Russell H. and Bertha Britt Bridgers and the widow of Robert Arthur ``Stray'' Tucker. Margaret, who will be fondly remembered for the love she generously shared with so many, was the retired manager of Tucker Farms, Store and Mobile Home Park. She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church and its Homemakers Sunday School Class. 

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley B. Crowder and her husband, Hayes, of Franklin and Sandra B. Worrell and her husband, W.F., of Clermont, Fla.; a brother, Ronnie Bridgers and his wife, Cheryl, of Austin, Ark.; two nieces, Cathy C. Belcher of Franklin and Melissa B. Griffith of Austin; four nephews, Bill Worrell of Savannah, Ga., Greg Worrell of Comer, Ga., Chris Bridgers of Durham, N.C., and Brian Bridgers of Conway, Ark.; one great-niece; and five great-nephews. 

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms , with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, c/o Mary Frances Newsome, P.O. Box 937, Franklin, Va., 23851. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.
