Obituary of Schuyler Coral Bristow SCHUYLER CORAL BRISTOW Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, February 7, 2003 FRANKLIN - Schuyler Coral Bristow, 84, died Feb. 6, 2003, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Southampton County, a son of the late Schuyler Clark and Joyce Carter Bristow and was the owner and operator of City Paint Supply. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge serving in the 634th Tank Destroyer Division. He was a charter member of the Black Creek-Burdette Ruritan Club with perfect attendance until he was taken ill two years ago. Mr. Bristow was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Bruner Bible Class, and gladly served in many capacities. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Denson Bristow; two sons, Hunter Bristow and wife, Judy of Williamsburg and Neil Bristow and wife, Robin of Virginia Beach; a sister, Roslyn Jukes of Richmond; five stepchildren, Larry Spain of Pulaski, Cheryl Bass of Courtland, Marilyn Payne, Jean Creech and Beverly Myers, all of Franklin; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret White Bristow and a brother, Gavin Bristow. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Franklin Baptist Church with the Rev. Sharon James officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorials be made to Franklin Baptist Church or to the Black Creek-Burdette Ruritan Club.
