Merrell W. Britt, 47, of 3512 Burdette Road, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994. 

Mr. Britt was born in Franklin and was the son of the late Herbert L. and Nellie Johnson Britt. He was employed with the Particle Board Plant at Union Camp and was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church. 

Survivors include a sister, Joyce B. White of Franklin; three brothers, James L. Britt and Lawrence C. Britt, both of Franklin, and Herbert L. Britt Jr. of Carrsville; and nieces and nephews. 

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Park by the Rev. Robert Bennett. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Britt Jr., 28175 Walters Highway. Memorial donations may be made to the Southampton Memorial Hospital Tree of Lights, 100 Fairview Drive, Franklin, c/o Mrs. E.A. Turner. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
