Bryant Jr. COURTLAND - Gillette Thomas Bryant Jr., 60, died June 4, 2003. A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Gillette Thomas Bryant Sr. and the late Wilma Nurney Bryant. He was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church and a talented musician and singer. Besides his father, Gillette is survived by two daughters, Kira B. Fox and husband, Jeff of Capron, Jenny B. Drake and husband, Timmy of Franklin; a son, G.T. Bryant III of Courtland ; a sister, Mary Betty Vaughan of Courtland ; four grandchildren, Taylor and Joel Fox, Ethan Drake and Gavin Bryant; his sweetheart and companion of 17 years, Beth Loflin of Virginia Beach; and his black lab, Doodle. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Riverside Cemetery , Courtland , with the Rev. Kay Barstow Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and other times at the home of Jenny and Timmy Drake, 109 Bobwhite Lane, Franklin.
