BUNN The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - February 14, 1993 Bennie Lee Bunn, 83, of 28745 Main St., Newsoms , a retired clerk with the Virginia ABC Store, died Feb. 12, 1993, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Newsoms , he was a member of the Newsoms United Methodist Church. He was past charge lay leader, Sunday School teacher, choir member and church secretary. He was also a charter member of the Newsoms Ruritan Club and was its past president and secretary. Survivors include his wife, Viola Miles Bunn; a daughter, Mary B. Watson of Suffolk; a son, K. Braxton Bunn of Newsoms ; four sisters, Ethel B. Saunders of Suffolk and Gladys Shaw, Evelyn B. Ferrell and Bernice B. Decker, all of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Cindy VanderBerg, Greg O'Berry, Ken Bunn, Brandy Bunn, David Watson, Dwayne Watson and Dudley Watson; and three great-grandchildren, Tara O'Berry, Jonathan Watson and Justin Watson. He was predeceased by a son, Rochelle Miles Bunn. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Newsoms United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charlene Beethoven and the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in the Hollywood Newsoms Cemetery . McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, is handling arrangements.
