MARGUERITE ALLYN BUNN STORY HOLCOMBE

 Marguerite Bunn Story Holcombe, 82, of Linden Street, a native and lifelong resident of Southampton County, widow of J. Braxton Holcombe and Howard C. Story, died Oct. 13, 2000, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 
She was born Oct. 26, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Ray Allen and Rosalie Edwards Bunn. She was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church, a former treasurer and member of the Official Board of the church, a former church historian, former pianist of the Ladies Bible Class, and a former member of the United Methodist Women. She graduated from Newsoms High School and attended Fredericksburg State Teachers College. She retired from the Farmers Home Administration. 
Survivors include a son, Allen C. Story of Annandale, Va. 
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Courtland United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert J. Parks Jr. and the Rev. Thomas G. Lee. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will receive friends at the residence, and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Courtland UMC, 22416 Main St., Courtland, VA 23837, or to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge.
