Obituary of James Vernon Burton Jr. JAMES VERNON BURTON JR. Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 26, 2001 SUFFOLK - James Vernon Burton Jr., 65, died March 24, 2001. A native of South Norfolk, he was retired from the ABC Division of the state of Virginia. He was the son of Lillian Amelia Buck Burton of Chesapeake and the late James Vernon Burton Sr. Mr. Burton was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Chuckatuck. Besides his mother, survivors include his wife, Evelyn ''Joy'' Joyner Burton; three daughters, Renee Worthington of Kenbridge, Va., Kimberlee Pullen and Jenise ReVeal and her husband John of Suffolk; three sons, Terry Pullen of Waterlily, N.C., Jeffery Pullen and his wife De De of Golden Beach, Md., and Christopher Clark of Fort Bragg, N.C.; grandchildren, Christine Worthington, Amanda and Danielle Pullen, and Tristin and Ryland ReVeal; a sister, Jane Burton Cook of Florida; and foster children, Crystalee, Bobbie, Kris, Melissa, Tyler, Michael, Adam, Missy, Michelle and Devin. The family would like to thank the members of St. John's Episcopal Church for so many expressions of love, to those who gave of their time taking the ventilator classes, to those who prepared meals, also to Elizabeth Felicetti who was such a comfort to all of us, to Father M. Webster Maughan who continues to guide us all, and the Suffolk Fire and Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad who became regular visitors. Excellent job well done, thanks especially to Donna. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Episcopal Church by Father M. Webster Maughan.
