SARA SPENCE BUTLER

 Sara Spence Butler died Oct. 25, 2003. She was the widow of Judge Henry West Butler and the daughter of the late Iola Benton and Milton O. Spence. She was also predeceased by her brother, Jack G. Spence. 
She is survived by two daughters, Sara Amelia Butler of Bristol, R.I., and Betsy Butler Vines and husband William Frederick Vines of Nags Head, N.C.; a brother, Dr. William M. Spence and wife Carolyn Massey Spence; and many nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong member of Suffolk Christian Church. 
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Dr. Robert Marr at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial of ashes will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Historical Society, P.O. Box 1255, Suffolk, VA 23439.
