Rosa Capps Blythe, 63, died Sept. 7, 2002, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Brunswick County, Va., she was a daughter of the late James P. and Florence Powell Capps. She was an examiner with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Carey Blythe; two sisters, Mildred C. Christopher and Shirley C. Dix, both of Emporia; and two nephews, Todd Dix and Greg Christopher.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dietmar Plajer and the Rev. Wayne Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery . The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to the Hunterdale United Church of Christ, 741 Hunterdale Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
