SUFFOLK - Jonas P. Carpenter Jr., 34, died Nov. 8, 2001. 

He was a member of Elks Lodge BPOE 685 of Suffolk. He was a 1985 graduate of Windsor High School. 

He has left behind to cherish his memory his mother and father, Betty Balmer Carpenter and Jonas P. Carpenter Sr. of Franklin; three children, Jonas P. Carpenter III, Brittani Leigh Carpenter and Zachary Andrew Carpenter of Windsor; a brother, Chris Carpenter of Franklin; and a very special friend, Linda Daughtrey of Suffolk. 

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home chapel by Chaplin Pat Holden. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
