Obituary of Dolly Watson Carr DOLLY WATSON CARR Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, May 13, 2002 Dolly Watson Carr, 71, of the 200 block of S. Broad St., died May 11, 2002, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Smithfield, where she was the organist for more than 37 years and choir director for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Shelley Burch Watson and Alice Whitley Watson. She was also the organist for Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home for more than 20 years. Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Carr Jr. of Suffolk; daughter and son-in-law, Dolly W. and Michael Chin of Baltimore, Md.; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles B. Carr III and wife Angela of Windsor, Va., and William L. and Wanda Carr of Gates, N.C.; grandchildren, William L. Carr Jr. and wife Angie, David B. Carr, Eric J. Carr and wife Nikki, Krystal L. Carr, Charles B. Carr IV, Sarah W. Chin, Jeff H. Chapman and John J. Chapman; great-grandchildren, William Grant Carr, Logan Elizabeth Carr, Kristen Marie Carr and Natasha Castello; and a brother, the Rev. Shelley "Joel" Burch Watson of Shady Cove, Ore. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Theodore Bailey, interim pastor of Christ Episcopal Church.
