Doris Carr Beale, 71, died Oct. 22, 1999, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late John and Alma Turner Carr and the widow of Lloyd McLane Beale Sr. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Lloyd M. ``Mac'' Beale Jr. and his wife, Sandy, of Franklin, William Keaton ``Bill'' Beale and his girlfriend, Shelia, of Capron, and Robert Edwin Beale and his wife, Jackie, of Courtland; two brothers, Roy M. Carr and his wife, Ann, of Franklin and Bobby R. Carr and his wife, Linda, of Boykins; nine grandchildren, Laura Beale, Justin Beale, Erica Beale, Taylor Beale, Sarah Beale, Adam Derby, Jessica Everett, Dale Everett and Taylor Everett; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John G. Carr Jr., and a sister, Marie Gray.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Boykins Chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ira D. Hudgins officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence of Mac and Sandy Beale, 163 Bobwhite Lane, Franklin. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
