Mrs. Caulder was born in Bladen Co., N.C., and was the daughter of the late Rufus and Rossie L. Howell. She was retired from Rose's Department Store and was a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: Edwin Caulder Sr.; one daughter: Emma C. Denson of Franklin; 3 sons: Edwin Caulder, Jr. of Tampa, Fl., Forrest Caulder of Franklin, and Ben Caulder of Grand Prairie, Texas. 3 sisters: Edith Jackson and Alma Lee Parker both of Clarkton, N.C., and Martha Harrellson of Elizabethtown, N.C., 5 brothers: Richard Howell, Charlie Howell, and David Howell, all of Clarkton, N.C., Jack Howell of Lexington, N.C., and Billy Howell of Dunn, N.C. 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 3, 1994, at Southampton Memorial Park by Rev. Howard Vinson. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. today.
