CLARK Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - April 16, 1997 Henry B. ``Rowdy'' Clark, 90, died Tuesday, April 15, 1997, in Autumn Care Convalescent Center, Suffolk. Born in Southampton County, his parents were the late James William and Annie Holloway Clark. He was a member of the Ivor United Methodist Church. He was a retired truck driver for M & L Trucking Co., Wakefield. He was a member of Ivor Volunteer Fire Department and Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad and at the time of his death, he was the oldest member of a rural volunteer fire department and rescue squad in Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Raby Clark; three daughters, Edith Freeman of Amelia, Phyllis Bryant and Nancy Scott, both of Ivor; two sons, Leroy Benjamin Clark of Woodbridge, Conn., and William L. Clark Dorn of Portsmouth; sister, Myrtie Bailey of Ivor; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, Thursday, April 17, 1997, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Michael Harrell and the Rev. Randy Duncan. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence of Nancy Scott, 35245 General Mahone Highway, Ivor.
