Obituary of Peter Edward Clark PETER EDWARD CLARK The Tidewater News - 11-08-2006 FRANKLIN - Peter Edward Clark, 65, died Nov. 4 after battling complications from diabetes. Clark was born June 12, 1941, in Evanston, Ill., the son of the late Thomas F. and Elsie Norring Clark. He was president of owner of WLQM-AM-FM in Franklin. Community service and dedication highlighted his life and included serving as past-president of the Franklin Southampton Chamber of Commerce, member and past president of the Downtown Franklin Business Association, and past president of the Franklin-Southampton Fair Board. He was a member of the Franklin Rotary Club, Hunterdale Ruritans, and Virginia Association of Broadcasters. He was recognized as the Franklin-Southampton Business Person of the Year in 2001. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Brenda, and spending as much time as possible sailing with his son on the Chesapeake Bay. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Freeman Clark; his son, Michael Clark; daughter-in-law, Marti Blythe Clark; and two brothers, Thomas Clark of Virginia Beach and Christopher Clark of Chesapeake.
