A native of Isle of Wight County, Mr. Cobb was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni. He was an elder and former Sunday school teacher and a former member of the Zuni Ruritan Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired contractor. He was predeceased by his mother, Indiana Barrett, and his father, William Alfred Cobb. Survivors include his wife, Pauline L. Cobb; a daughter, Rebecca C. Dowty, and son-in-law, Claude, of Zuni; sons Ronald Alfred Cobb and daughter-in-law, Vicki, of Zuni, William H. Cobb and daughter-in-law, Kim, of Zuni; brothers, Warren R. Cobb of Ivor, Va., John P. Cobb of Zuni and Russell T. Cobb of Suffolk; seven grandchildren, Robert C. Spruill, Janice L. Hayden, Brenda A. Weaver, Brooke A. Cobb, William W. Cobb, Michele C. Musolino and Justin Travis Cobb; two great-grandchildren, Brennan T. Weaver and Lauren Victoria Musolino. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. John Hartman, the Rev. T.A. Powell and the Rev. Ruffin Alphin.
