She was born June 16, 1907, a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Jane Vaughan Cobb. Miss Cobb attended Longwood College in Farmville and received her teachers certificate. She retired from the City of Franklin after 25 years of service and was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a former member of the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Survivors include her niece, Antha Jean Udell of Riverside, Calif.; and a great-nephew, John A. Ward, Jr. of Plano, Texas. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawless Cobb and Ryland Cobb. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Roy E. DeBrand and the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral in the Fellowship Hall of Sycamore Baptist Church. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Flood Restoration Fund, 208 North High St., Franklin, VA 23851.
