She was a hairstylist in Franklin and then in New York City for 40 years before retiring in 1970. Mrs. Cobb was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Antha Jean Udell of Riverside; three grandchildren, John A. Ward Jr. of Lavon, Texas, Antha Anne Ward of Riverside, Calif., Patti Skok of Danbury, Conn.; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Alma S. Mountcastle of Suffolk, Alyce Tompkins of Virginia Beach; 11 nieces and nephews; 26 great-nieces and -nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Co.
