Obituary of Benjamin Forrest Cobb BENJAMIN FORREST COBB Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, January 17, 2002 Benjamin Forrest Cobb, 90, died Jan. 15, 2002. A native of Southampton County, he was the son of the late Madison and Pearl Barrett Cobb. He was also predeceased by a son, Earl Forrest Cobb. He was a member of Windsor Baptist Church where he attended L.T. Hall Sunday School Class and served as a deacon. He retired in 1971 as a farmer. The widower of Ella Mae Britt Cobb, he is survived by sons, Alpha M. Cobb and wife, Carolyn of Suffolk and James R. Cobb and wife, Betty of Windsor; nine grandchildren, Steve, Timmy, Ricky, Vicky, Barry, Brenda, Bryan, Travis and Angie; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma C. Rogister of Windsor, Jane C. Clark of Richmond, and Katherine C. Jenkins of Walters, Va.; and brothers, Coston Cobb of Windsor, and Herman W. Cobb of Sedley, Va. A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Windsor Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony Johnson with burial in Windsor Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home, 447 W. Washington St., Suffolk, and other times at the residence of James R. Cobb, 8135 W. Blackwater Road, Windsor, VA 23487.
