Obituary of Benjamin Franklin Cook Sr. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN COOK Virginian Pilot - JAN. 10, 2005 WINDSOR - Benjamin "Bennie" Franklin Cook Sr., 68, passed away Jan. 9. 2005, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. Bennie was born July 16, 1936, in Southampton County, a son of Maggie Wells Cook and the late Robert H. Cook Jr. He retired as a truck driver for Murphy Brown's in Waverly; was a former member of Ivor Volunteer Fire Department and Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad; and a member of Ivor Baptist Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Bina "Bunnie" Turner Cook; their son Benjamin "Frank" Cook, Jr. and wife Faye B. Cook of Ivor; granddaughter, Karen Michelle Cook of Ivor; brothers Robert H. Cook and wife Nancy, John R. Cook and wife Linda, Joseph F. Cook and wife Delores, Richard E. Cook and wife Teresa; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceased by two brothers, Thomas D. Cook Sr., and Nicky Cook. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ivor Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Gupton officiating. The family will receive friends at their home in Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad or Ivor Baptist Church.
