Ruth Cook Blythe, 73, widow of Clinton Francis Blythe, died Sunday,
April 18, 2004, at her residence. A native of Southampton County, she
was a daughter of the late James Jefferson and Nora Lee Johnson Cook.
Mrs. Blythe was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances B. Finley and husband John of
Waldorf, Md., and Denise B. Griffith and husband Steve of Drewryville;
two sons, James B. "J.B." Blythe of Texas and Wilson Clinton "Bo" Blythe
and wife Tammy of Franklin; two sisters, Louise C. Hedgepeth of Franklin
and Jane C. Rountree of Henrico, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollywood Cemetery
, Newsoms , with the Rev. Dr. Richard Childress officiating. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home.
