Helen Rountree Copeland, 81, died March 19, 1996. 
A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Wilber Clarence and Eunice Cross Rountree and the widow of Herman Copeland. She was a member of Somerton United Methodist Church. 
Survivors include her brother, W. Shelton Rountree of Suffolk; and 11 nieces and nephews. 
A funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home by the Rev. Rob Vaughn. Burial will be in Somerton United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Providence United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3105 Providence Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
