Obituary of Royce Galvin Copeland Sr. ROYCE GAVIIN COPELAND Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 5, 2001 Royce Galvin Copeland Sr., 67, of the 27100 block of Sunset Drive, died Feb. 3, 2001, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va., and retired from the United States Postal Service after 28 years of service as a mail carrier. He also was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was the son of the late Galvin Staley Copeland, and was also predeceased by a sister, Brenda C. Kennedy. Survivors include his wife, Susie Mumford Copeland of Windsor; his mother, Annie Babb Copeland of Windsor; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and John Rawls of Zuni, Va.; sons, Royce G. Copeland Jr. of Windsor and Mitch Copeland; grandchildren, J. Rawls, Jaclyn Rawls and Jeri Rawls; and brothers, William ``Willie'' B. Copeland and John Staley Copeland, both of Windsor. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Windsor Cemetery by the Rev. Wayne T. Blythe. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Sidney F.
