Sadie Bradshaw Copeland, 83, of the 2400 block of Box Elder Road, a former schoolteacher, died Feb. 10, 1992, in a Franklin hospital. 
Mrs. Copeland was born in Suffolk and was a former teacher in Suffolk. She was a graduate of Farmville State Teachers College. She was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church. 
Survivors include her husband, Thurman G. Copeland Sr.; a son, T. Graham Copeland Jr. of Franklin; a sister, Claire B. Tucker of Mechanicsville; a brother, L.F. Bradshaw Jr. of Mauldin, S.C.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Weiser. Burial will be in Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and other times at the residence. 
Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund, c/o Sue Wilkins, 673 Carolina Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
