B7 col 1 Ivor - Edith Eulala Horne Council, age 94, a resident of Ivor, died on Monday November 13, 1995 at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk. A lifelong resident of Southampton, Mrs Council was the daughter of the late James Harrison and Elizabeth Hart Horne. At the time of her death, Mrs Council was the oldest living member at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church in Zuni. She was the widow of Benjamin Alton Council. She is survived by a daughter Edith C. Cobb, three sons Wayland H. Council, B. Alton Council, Jr, and Emerson W. Council all of Ivor; 7 grandchildren Mate Cobb, Hart Council, Billie Faye Coleman, Beverly C. Bryant, Michele C. Bishop, Joudy Lynn Brady, Dana M. Balint; nine great grandchildren Paul Cobb, Brandon Council, Ryan Council, Steven Coleman, Ginny Holloway, Michael Bryant, Patrick Bryant, Francis Bishop, and Rebecca Bishop. Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Wednesday at 2 pm by Rev. Steve Bradshaw and the Rev. J. Waverly Horne. Burial will be at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
