CARROLL CROMWELL WHITE

 Carroll Cromwell White, 91, died Friday, March 19, 1999, in Richmond. 
Born in Norfolk on March 1, 1908, she was the widow of James M. White Jr. She attended Longwood College. She was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church and the Boykins Women's Club. She assisted her husband in his lumber business and taught elementary school in Boykins. Mrs. White moved to Westminster Canterbury in Richmond and lived there many years. 
Survivors include a son, James M. White III of Midlothian; and two grandchildren, Alexander Cromwell White of Wilson, N.C., and James M. White IV of Richmond. 
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. L. Raymond McGarr. The family will receive friends at Boykins United Methodist Church following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the church. Purviance Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
