Homer Dennis Cross, 63, of the 3300 block of Winchester Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994, in a local hospital.  
Mr. Cross was born in Winton, N.C. He was a retired merchant seaman and was a retired cook. He was a member of the Seafarer Union and the Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898.  
Survivors include his wife, Joyce T. Cross of Portsmouth; two daughters, Joyce Anderson and Peggy Neal, both of Portsmouth; two sons, Thurman Terry and Phillip Terry, both of Portsmouth; a stepmother, Akra Cross of Franklin; four half sisters, Peggy Mulder, Windy McCoury, Linda Jenkins and Marilyn Ray, all of Franklin; three half brothers, Harvey Cross Jr., David Cross and Joseph Cross, all of Franklin; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. T.M. Frye. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
