Peter Daniel Crumpler Jr. , 75, of the 31000 block of Monroe Road, died April 17, 1997. 

Mr. Crumpler was born in Southampton County and was the son of the late Peter Daniel and Alene McLaughlin Crumpler. He was the retired owner and operator of Sunbeam Supply Co. and a retired farmer. Mr. Crumpler was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Burma, India and Okinawa. He was a lifelong member of Sunbeam Bapist Church and a member of its board of trustees. 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Letitia Cogsdale Crumpler; a daughter, Patricia C. Fowler and her husband, Dan; a son, Peter Daniel Crumpler III and his wife, Janet; three grandchildren, John Daniel Fowler Jr. and his wife, Lisa, Jared Lee Folwer and Peter Daniel Crumpler IV. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenneth Williams and the Rev. John Watson. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms . The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorials may be made to Sunbeam Baptist Church, c/o Mr. Marvin Worrell, P.O. Box 25, Como, N.C 27818.
