Mr. Cutchin was born in Isle of Wight County. He had formerly served on the board of directors of Dominion Bank. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, Franklin Lions Club and Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Survivors include his wife, Margruette Leathers Cutchin; a son, Carlton Cutchin Jr. of Franklin; a sister, Carolyn C. Powell of Franklin; and two grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Michael J. Clingenpeel and the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
