Obituary of James Woodrow Dailey JAMES WOODROW DAILEY Virginian Pilot 06-28-2002 SUFFOLK  James Woodrow Dailey, 84, of Proctor Street, died June 27, 2002 in Autumn Care of Suffolk, He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late John Henry and Cora Lee Thompson Dailey. Mr. Dailey was the former owner of Daileys market for 12 years and retired as a material division tester for the Virginia Department of Highways with 16 years of service. Mr. Dailey was a member of Suffolk Christian Church since 1945, where he served as a deacon. His wife of 58 years, Louise B. Dailey, predeceased Mr. Dailey. Survivors include a daughter, Martha D. Hobbs, of Suffolk; son and daughter-in-law, James B. and Jane B. Dailey of Suffolk; sister, Hazel D. Delk of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Brian Dailey of Suffolk, Angela D. Smith of Crozet and Jason Hobbs of Suffolk. A funeral will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Suffolk Christian Churchby the Rev. Michael D. Halley. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, and at the residence, 1129 Proctor St., Suffolk, today from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, Organ Fund, 216 N.
