   SMITHFIELD - Kathy Ann Daniels, 40, of Leonard Street, died March 5, in her residence.
   A native of Suffolk, she was a medical assistant for Lakeview Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John Earl Daniels and Versenia D. Panther. She was also predeceased by a brother, John Earl Daniels Jr.; and her stepfather, Henry M. Panther.
   Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Ann Gunnell of Smithfield; maternal Grandmother, Martha E. Griggs of Suffolk; a sister, Ginger Parsons of Windsor; and two brothers, Mark A. Daniels of Windsor and Brian Panther of Suffolk.
   A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. March 8, in Magnolia United Methodist Church by the Revs. Mike Derflinger and Gerald McClenny. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family March 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Harrell Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, 15552 Everetts Road, Windsor. Memorials contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 902 Pennsylvania Ave. Suffolk, VA 23434.
