Elmer Julian "Bozo" Darden Jr., 71, of 32045 Jenkins Mill Road, died Sept. 14, 1994. 

Mr. Darden was a native of Isle of Wight County. He was an Army veteran, former employee of Franklin Equipment Company and retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation. 

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; two daughters; five stepdaughters; one son; four stepsons; six sisters; seven brothers; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
